Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Indirect Service Contractors SQE to ensure external suppliers of services meet quality and regulatory requirements. You will lead onboarding, drive KPI alignment, and manage improvement initiatives across multiple functions and regions.

Ideal candidates have a Master in Management Engineering, strong data skills, and a proven track record in supplier quality. This role requires frequent travel and supports a flexible, outcome-focused work environment.

Qualifications

• Master degree in Management Engineering or equivalent.
• Experience with statistical methods and data analysis.
• Familiar with continuous improvement methods.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• EU Work Permit is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the qualification, assessment, and onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Actively participate in business transformation and process improvement initiatives, serving as project lead for specific workstreams or as SME for Supplier Quality topics.
• Develop, standardize, and monitor Supplier Quality metrics across indirect services and service categories, ensuring alignment of KPIs, scorecards, and reporting practices across Business Units.
• Analyze supplier quality performance data and non-conformities, identifying recurring trends, root causes, and key drivers of supplier-related defects and service quality issues.
• Oversee supplier development programs, tracking action plans, monitoring progress against objectives, and providing regular updates to leadership teams on risks, opportunities, and achievements.
• Contribute to the development of a strong quality culture throughout the supply base by fostering supplier engagement, accountability, and continuous improvement.

As an Indirect Service Contractors SQE you will be responsible for ensuring that suppliers of services consistently meet quality, compliance, and business requirements. Acting as Supplier Quality representative you will work closely with key departments such as Health Safety & Environment, Facility Management, Manufacturing and Procurement and other cross functional stakeholders to drive suppliers of indirect services quality performance, continuous improvement and process excellence.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Lead and support the qualification, assessment, and onboarding of new suppliers, ensuring compliance with quality, regulatory, and business requirements.
• Actively participate in business transformation and process improvement initiatives, serving as project lead for specific workstreams or as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Supplier Quality topics.
• Develop, standardize, and monitor Supplier Quality metrics across indirect services and service categories, ensuring alignment of KPIs, scorecards, and reporting practices across Business Units.
• Analyze supplier quality performance data and non-conformities, identifying recurring trends, root causes, and key drivers of supplier-related defects and service quality issues.

The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 43,600 To 70,000.

The provisions of Contratto Collettivo Industria Metalmeccanica e della installazione di impianti will be applied to this position. Section VI – Titolo IV of that collective bargaining agreement relates to pay
