ams Italy S.r.l. is seeking a talented Validation Engineer to join the LSP DP Validation team in Pavia. You will support the design phase, develop validation concepts from product specs, and drive lab characterization and measurement activities for ICs.

The role requires a strong background in electrical engineering, 5+ years in semiconductor validation, and expertise with lab instrumentation, Python, LabVIEW, and PCB tools. On-site work with collaborative cross-functional teams.

Competenze

• Degree in electrical/electronics engineering; master's preferred.
• Experience as Validation Engineer in semiconductor industry (5+ years).
• Proficient with Python and NI LabVIEW for validation tasks.
• Experience programming/integrating NI PXI/PXIe for automated validation.
• PCB design tools include Altium Designer, Eagle and OrCAD.
• Strong statistical data analysis and robust documentation skills.

• Support design team during development by ensuring testability in the lab.
• Develop validation concepts from product specifications and drive lab characterization and measurement activities.
• Investigate and analyze unexpected test results in collaboration with the design team.
• Design and layout PCBs for electrical evaluation of ICs.
• Define test methodologies and laboratory setups using appropriate instrumentation.
• Develop software for automated validation and measurement workflows.
• Prepare technical documentation and reports related to measurement results.
• Work closely with technical leaders, design engineers, and test development engineers throughout the product development cycle.
