Westinghouse Electric Company invites qualified candidates to join the I&C Technician - Outage Contract team. You will report onsite to various nuclear facilities in North and South Carolina and work under the I&C Supervisor to install, calibrate, and repair instruments that monitor and control processes.

The role requires 3 years in the I&C field and 1 year of nuclear experience, plus a high school diploma or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Plan, layout, assembles, installs and repairs instruments used to control and measure variables.
• Select type and size of pipe and related material according to job specification.
• Install, repair, maintain, and adjust instruments and test equipment used to control variables such as pressure, temperature, flow.
• Measure, cut, bend, and install primary piping and tubing.
• Read and interpret instructions and plan work activities.
• Disassemble malfunctioning instruments and test equipment to inspect mechanisms.
• Inspect instruments and test equipment and calibrate to standards.
• Install support structures and tubing; observe safety and project rules.

I&C Technician - Outage Contract

You will report onsite to various nuclear facilities in North and South Carolina.

You will report to the I&C Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Plan, layout, assembles, installs and repairs instruments, both electronic and pneumatic, including primary piping and tubing.
• Select type and size of pipe and related material according to job specification.
• Installs, repairs, maintains, and adjusts indicating, recording and controlling instruments and test equipment, used to control and measure variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, and chemical composition , using precision instruments, and hand tools.
• Measure, cuts, bends, threads, assembles, and installs primary piping and tubing.
• Read and interpret instructions and documentation and plan work activities.
• May disassemble malfunctioning instruments or test equipment and examine and test mechanisms and circuitry for defects.
• Inspect instruments and test equipment periodically and adjust calibration to ensure functioning within specified standards.
• Install associated support structures, components and tubing.
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

• 3 years' experience in I&C field.
• 1 year of nuclear experience
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent
• Be able to pass criminal background, drug/alcohol screen (including medical and recreational marijuana and CBD oil), and employment testing.
