Tenova in Castellanza, Lombardy, seeks a Mechanical Project Designer to join the Melt Shops Team. You will design in 2D and 3D, develop mechanical aspects of projects, and prepare layouts showing equipment installation in client plants.

The role requires hands-on experience with Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor, knowledge of FEM/CAE methods, and the ability to travel when needed. The position offers a starting salary of €40,000 gross annually with final offer based on seniority and skills.

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Mechanical Design or equivalent with at least 5 years of experience.
• Experience in mechanical design is required.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Inventor is required.
• Knowledge of CNC milling, sheet metal bending, laser cutting, welding and related processes is preferred.
• Knowledge of CAD and FEM tools (ANSYS, Nastran, Recap, Inventor, AutoCAD, Navisworks) is preferred.
• Willingness to travel and ability to work in a multicultural environment.

Mansioni

• Design in 2D and 3D formats, considering requirements, timing, quality and cost targets.
• Prepare layouts showing equipment installation in client plants.
• Develop all mechanical aspects of projects and verify engineering deliverables.
• Estimate weights and develop BOMs during basic engineering.
• Manage external engineering studio and ensure progress on schedule.
• Ensure designs comply with regulations and define standard specifications with engineers.
• Review civil works design for installation of machines and perform on-site inspections when needed.
• Translate 2D drawings to 3D models and produce drawings from 3D models; perform verification analyses.
