Randstad Digital Italia is seeking a Hybrid and Multicloud Architect to design, implement, and govern scalable cloud infrastructure for a leading energy and oil & gas product company in Rome. The role centers on integrating on-premises systems with multiple clouds and driving migration programs.

You will lead cloud governance, optimize costs, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical specifications. This position is based in Rome with a hybrid work setup.

Competenze

• Master’s degree in Information Security, IT or related STEM fields.
• English proficiency at C1 level for written and spoken communication.
• 9+ years experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture roles.
• Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform core services.
• Ability to design hybrid cloud integration and vendor-agnostic multicloud strategies.
• Proficiency with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, ARM templates, or Pulumi.
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, secure networking) and Zero Trust Architecture.

Randstad Digital, a specialized division for IT profiles of Randstad Italia, is searching for a Hybrid and Multicloud Architect to join a prestigious product company in the energy and oil & gas sector.

Main Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for designing, supporting, and enabling all affiliates in the implementation and management of scalable, secure, and resilient hybrid and multicloud infrastructure solutions. Reporting to the Group IT Infrastructure Governance and Security Manager, the resource will handle the end-to-end management of complex IT infrastructure projects, ensuring seamless integration and coexistence between current on-premises legacy systems and multiple cloud platforms. Key duties include leading cloud migration initiatives from a Group perspective (assessment, planning, execution, and optimization), developing cloud governance frameworks, monitoring cost-effective cloud usage, and working closely with business stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical specifications.

Mandatory Academic and Language Requirements:

• Education Master’s degree, preferably in Information Security, IT, or related STEM fields
• Languages Professional fluency in English (C1 level), well-established in both written and spoken communication
• Minimum 9+ years of experience in IT infrastructure and cloud architecture roles
• Deep knowledge of major cloud providers (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and their core services
• Proven ability to design hybrid cloud integration solutions and vendor-agnostic multicloud strategies
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, ARM templates, or Pulumi
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies, specifically Docker and Kubernetes
• Solid understanding of cloud security best practices (IAM, encryption, secure networking) and Zero Trust Architecture
• Experience with hybrid connectivity (VPNs, Direct Connect, ExpressRoute) and cloud cost management/observability tools
• Highly preferred professional certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, or CKA.
