Job summary

The Greater Change is looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a hotel development project in Southern Italy. The PM will be based primarily in Milan and will coordinate between the company, consultants, contractors, vendors, suppliers and authorities.

The role requires strong project coordination, stakeholder management, and hospitality industry knowledge, with willingness to travel to the Southern project site as needed.

Qualifications

• 5–8+ years of project management / coordination experience.
• Experience coordinating consultants, contractors, vendors and third parties.
• Experience in hospitality, hotel development, real estate or construction is preferred.
• Good understanding of the Italian market and local regulations.
• Knowledge of Italian taxation, VAT and commercial practices is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Ability to travel to the project site in Southern Italy as required.
• Good spoken and written English is essential; Italian language preferred.
• Knowledge of additional languages would be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Project management and coordination: oversee day-to-day project activities.
• Main point of contact: coordinate between company, consultants, contractors, vendors and third parties.
• Consultant, vendor and third-party management: track deliverables and deadlines; follow up on submissions.
• Project site coordination: travel to Southern Italy; attend site meetings and inspections.
• Hospitality and hotel project knowledge: understand hotel planning, design and operations.
• Italian laws, regulations and taxation: coordinate with legal and regulatory advisors.
• Budget, procurement and commercial coordination: monitor budgets and coordinate quotations.
• Risk and quality management: identify risks and coordinate resolutions; ensure quality.
• Reporting and documentation: maintain records, prepare reports and meeting minutes.
• Completion and handover: coordinate snagging, testing and handover activities.
