Job summary

The U.S. Army Europe And Africa is seeking a Heavy Mobile Equipment Mechanic (FLO) in Vicenza, Italy to troubleshoot, maintain, and repair hydraulic, electrical, and power-generating equipment across the installation.

The role involves more than routine service, including disassembly/reassembly of engines and drive systems, occasional travel to remote sites, and adherence to safety and performance standards. A valid Italian driver’s license type B is required, and a forklift license is mandatory.

Qualifications

• 1. KNOWLEDGE OF EQUIPMENT ASSEMBLY, INSTALLATION, REPAIR, ETC.;
• 2. TECHNICAL PRACTICES (THEORETICAL, PRECISE, ARTISTIC);
• 3. USE OF MEASURING INSTRUMENTS;
• 4. ABILITY TO INTERPRET INSTRUCTIONS, SPECIFICATION, ETC. (INCLUDES BLUEPRINT READING);
• 5. ABILITY TO USE AND MAINTAIN TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT;
• 6. TROUBLE SHOOTING.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs heavy mobile equipment and vehicles.
• Disassembles and repairs engines, transmissions, and hydraulic/electrical systems.
• Operates forklift and travels to remote sites as required.
