Your Business Partner S.r.l. in Milan seeks a Health Economics & Spatial Data Scientist (VBHC Lead) to design and implement health economic and spatial data models for value-based healthcare strategies. This full-time, on-site role collaborates with healthcare clients across regions.

Qualifications

• Strong data science skills with model development and ML experience on small yet complex datasets.
• Solid statistics foundation with inferential methods and experimental design.
• Proficiency in data analytics and data interpretation in healthcare/spatial data.
• Ability to create clear data visualizations for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience or strong interest in health economics and value-based healthcare.
• Programming in Python or R, SQL, and GIS platforms.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.

Role Description

TheHealth Economics & Spatial Data Scientist (VBHC Lead)is a full-time, on-site role based in Milan. This role focuses on designing and implementing health economic and spatial data models to support value-based healthcare (VBHC) strategies for clients in the healthcare and life sciences sectors.

The Role: What You Will Do (End-to-End)

• Spatial Data Science & Exposomics:Design and implement spatial statistics and territorial econometrics models.
• VBHC Modeling & Health Economics:Develop patient pathway-based cost models (e.g., Time-Driven Activity-Based Costing - TDABC) to demonstrate the economic efficiency of exposome monitoring in the prevention and management of chronic diseases.
• Business Case & Product Strategy:Translate scientific and spatial evidence into robust Business Cases and Market Access plans. You will be responsible for demonstrating the ROI (Return on Investment) of our solutions to Regions, Hospitals, Insurance companies, and Tech Partners.
• End-to-End Project Delivery:Collaborate in managing projects end-to-end, from secondary and primary research to the final business case definition, interacting with all stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem. Statistical and economic expertise must be seamlessly integrated with project management and a deep understanding of client needs.

In this role, you are not just a data scientist; you are a real driver of change within the Italian healthcare system.

Qualifications

• Strong Data Science skills, including model development, machine learning techniques, and working with small but complex datasets.
• Solid foundation in Statistics, with experience in inferential methods, experimental design, and health economic modeling.
• Proficiency in Data Analytics and Data Analysis, including cleaning, transforming, and interpreting healthcare and spatial data.
• Ability to create clear and insightful Data Visualization, using modern tools to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience or a strong interestin health economics, value-based healthcare, outcomes research, or public health analytics.
• Practical knowledge of programming languages and tools such as Python or R, SQL, common analytics libraries, and GIS platforms.
• Advanced degreein a quantitative discipline (e.g., Health Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or a related field) or equivalent experience.
• Strong problem-solving skills, curiosity, and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams and client stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Italian is highly beneficial.
