Job description

Energy Dome provides power and capacity at utility scale. Our CO₂ Battery, the core of our technology platform, is a proven long-duration energy storage solution, already operating and contracted across three continents. Right now, we’re scaling fast across engineering, project delivery, operations, and commercial teams globally. Energy Dome is an infrastructure company — our projects get built, our plants get commissioned, and the power we deliver is measured in gigawatt-hours, not press releases. If you want to work on energy systems that matter — and will run for decades — this is the place to build the next chapter of your career.

About the Role

Our organization, made up of talented engineers and professionals from all over the world, is constantly growing, and we are seeking a Head of Quality to lead the Quality function across Energy Dome’s projects, suppliers and sites. The Head of Quality will have overall responsibility for the technical and operational quality of Energy Dome’s CO₂-based energy storage plants, ensuring that equipment, systems and project execution meet the required technical specifications, contractual requirements, applicable codes and standards throughout the entire project lifecycle.

The role will oversee Supplier Quality, Project & Plant Quality and Site Quality, from supplier manufacturing and equipment inspection through construction, installation, commissioning and final plant acceptance. The Head of Quality will lead and develop the dedicated Quality team and work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Project Execution, Construction and Commissioning.

This position is focused on project, product and site quality and is separate from the Corporate Quality Assurance and HSE functions.

  • Ensure the quality and technical compliance of critical equipment and systems, including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, valves, gasometers, turbomachinery, compressors, expanders, electrical machines and panels, pumps, piping and control systems.
  • Ensure project and plant quality compliance, verifying that applicable technical codes, standards, regulatory requirements and contractual specifications are correctly implemented throughout project execution.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable international technical standards and requirements, including PED, ASME and IEC, as relevant to individual projects and equipment.
  • Lead Site Quality activities during construction, installation and commissioning, ensuring that works comply with approved drawings, technical specifications, procedures and inspection plans.
  • Oversee site inspections and quality control activities, including construction inspections, installation checks, testing, punch-list management and Site Acceptance Tests (SATs).
  • Manage and monitor non-conformities (NCRs), defects and quality KPIs, ensuring timely resolution of quality issues.
  • Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) for significant or recurring quality issues.
  • Lead and coordinate supplier, project and site quality audits, ensuring appropriate management and closure of findings.
  • Oversee the completeness, traceability and accuracy of quality documentation and certification packages throughout project execution and final handover.
  • Support technical certification and conformity assessment activities related to equipment and plants.
  • Work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Expediting, Project Management, Construction and Commissioning teams to resolve quality-related technical issues and proactively identify quality risks.
  • Interface with the Corporate Quality Assurance function to ensure alignment between corporate requirements and project execution, while maintaining clear accountability for operational and project quality.
  • Promote a strong quality culture and continuous improvement mindset, ensuring that lessons learned are translated into improved technical standards, processes and project execution.
