The role is responsible for ensuring that Ferrero is represented in the external media landscape with accuracy, consistency, credibility, and strategic impact. It oversees proactive and reactive media relations at Group level, manages high-stakes media moments, and provides senior counsel on issues and reputational risks involving media exposure.

The role leads the Global Media Relations function, ensuring excellence in press office operations, executive communications, issues management, media intelligence and global media engagement. It builds on the current Media Relations Manager scope, which includes Group Press Office activities, international media handling, issue management, executive counselling, media training, editorial calendar, media insights and support to regions/countries.

The role aims to strengthen Ferrero’s corporate reputation through a globally coordinated media relations approach. It ensures media engagement supports corporate priorities, executive positioning and issues/crisis management, while providing guidance and coordination across markets and functions in a fast-moving communication environment.

Main Responsibilities:

Thanks to your extensive experience in global media relations and corporate communications, you will define and lead Ferrero Group's global media relations strategy, ensuring alignment with corporate reputation priorities and business objectives.

You will provide strategic leadership to the Group Press Office, overseeing international media engagement and providing senior counsel on media-sensitive topics, including financial communications, leadership announcements, strategic projects and other corporate priorities.

You will develop and oversee proactive and reactive media engagement plans, including interviews, briefings, editorial opportunities and executive visibility initiatives. You will drive executive media positioning by identifying opportunities to strengthen the visibility, credibility and thought leadership of Ferrero's senior leaders across priority media and stakeholder platforms. You will support executives, spokespeople and subject matter experts through media counselling, interview preparation and training, while ensuring the development of high-quality communication materials such as press statements, key messages, Q&A documents and briefing notes. You will leverage media monitoring, analytics and external insights to identify emerging trends, opportunities and potential reputational risks. You will continuously monitor the evolving media landscape, including digital platforms and AI-driven information discovery, adapting media relations approaches and recommendations to maximize impact and protect Ferrero's corporate reputation.

Thanks to your leadership and collaboration skills, you will lead and develop the Global Media Relations team while fostering strong partnerships across functions, regions, markets and external partners to ensure a coordinated and consistent global media approach.

About You:

Thanks to your approximately 15 years of experience in media relations, corporate communications, public affairs, journalism or communications consulting, you will bring a strong understanding of international media landscapes, corporate reputation management and stakeholder expectations.

Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams and influence senior stakeholders in a complex global matrix organization. Your experience in executive counselling and spokesperson preparation will enable you to provide guidance for interviews, public appearances and strategic media engagements.

You will demonstrate excellent editorial judgment, strong writing and messaging capabilities, with the ability to develop clear and consistent communication materials. You will combine strategic thinking, using media monitoring, analytics and external insights to identify reputational risks, communication opportunities and actionable recommendations.

Your ability to operate under pressure, prioritize effectively and manage multiple sensitive topics will support successful delivery in a fast-moving international environment.

Thanks to your leadership and collaboration skills, you will have the ability to lead and develop a specialist media relations team while coordinating effectively with senior stakeholders, Corporate Communications, Legal, Public Affairs, Sustainability, Brands, regions and markets. You will demonstrate a global mindset and the ability to build trusted relationships across cultures and functions, ensuring alignment and consistency across media activities.
