Fondazione Prada in Milano seeks a Head of Design and Production to oversee exhibition design across projects, working with curators, artists, and project teams. The role requires autonomy, a track record in exhibition design, and leadership of a dedicated design team supporting display activities.

The Head reports to the Head of Programs and collaborates with Architecture studios, Conservation, and Registration to ensure high quality from concept to production while maintaining accessibility

Competenze

• A recognized university degree in exhibition design, architecture, industrial design, or an equivalent field.
• Minimum 5–10 years of experience in exhibition or industrial design, preferably within a visual culture-related institution.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite, along with ability to design to scale.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.

Mansioni

• Develop collection gallery designs, including space planning and three-dimensional elements from concept to final drawings.
• Collaborate closely with external architecture studios and internal teams.
• Produce exhibition display drawings using AutoCAD and SketchUp for cases, platforms, and walls.
• Ensure accessibility and safety compliance in design development.
• Coordinate with Registration and Conservation teams and external consultants.
• Maintain high design quality and coordinate production with suppliers and contractors.
• Implement procurement strategy and manage project bids and vendor engagement.
• Administer design files and archives; help define standard workflows.
• Prioritize visitor experience, optimize flow, and perform risk assessments.
