Job summary

JD Logistics is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager for Hazardous Goods to oversee storage, handling, and distribution, ensuring compliance with all safety and regulatory standards. The role focuses on optimizing efficiency in hazmat operations and maintaining the highest safety standards.

The candidate will lead a team, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and stay current with evolving hazmat regulations and best practices to prevent incidents and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, EHS, or related field.
• 7–10 years in warehouse management with at least 5 years overseeing hazardous goods.
• In-depth knowledge of national and international hazmat regulations (DOT, IATA DGR, IMDG, OSHA).
• HazMat certifications (e.g., HazMat Technician, DG Shipper) are highly preferred.
• Proven ability to develop and enforce safety programs for hazardous goods.
• Strong leadership and team development experience.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency with WMS and related software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and enforce safety protocols for hazardous materials per regulations.
• Optimize warehouse layouts and inventory systems for hazardous goods.
• Oversee receipt, inspection, labeling, storage, picking, packing, and shipping of hazmat.
• Lead and supervise warehouse personnel with coaching and performance management.
• Conduct audits to identify hazards and ensure safety standards.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external agencies for compliance.
• Manage hazardous waste disposal programs per environmental regs.
• Develop and manage departmental budget for safe operations.
• Maintain robust record-keeping for hazmat movements, incidents, training.
• Respond to incidents and implement preventive measures.
• Stay up-to-date with hazmat regs and best practices.
