Job summary

Hosco.com in Lombardy, Italy, seeks a Gym Intern to support Personal Training sessions, uphold brand standards, and ensure cleanliness and safety in the fitness area. You will report to the Spa Director and Gym Supervisor and collaborate with the Workshop Management team.

Responsibilities

• Support Personal Training Sessions during scheduled working hours.
• Ensure activities are performed to an exceptional standard, as per Workshop and Hotel brand standards.
• Monitor the cleanliness of equipment and levels of guest supplies in the fitness areas.
• Follow opening and closing procedures correctly, acting on any maintenance issues immediately.
• Order and keep appropriate par levels of stock at all times. Encourage clients to return to the gym and spa by recommending an ongoing fitness program and cross selling the other business centres in the spa.
• Maintain a sound knowledge of all treatments, packages and any promotions. Participate in demonstrations/ events as required. Play an active role in creating new initiatives in fitness and cross selling promotions.
• Regularly record guest preferences, accurately updating guest profiles and programmes.
• Ensure confidentiality at all times including data protection, medical details and any information provided in confidence by the client.
• Deal with any client complaints promptly and effectively, ensuring client satisfaction and revenue is not jeopardised. Record any grievances and follow up accordingly, communicating with the Gym Supervisor at all times.
• Attend necessary meetings, relaying up to date information from the fitness department, communicating the day’s business, guests and any relevant activities to other relevant departments.
• Respond and confirm client booking requests with hotel booking system.
• Interact with all guests within the Gym and Spa facilities, providing the highest level of customer service.
• Keep the fitness area well presented, clean and free of clutter.
• Demonstrate a professional demeanor at all times, particularly with regard to punctuality, appearance and general manner.
• Support Gym Supervisor in creating and preparing Monthly budgeting and P & L Reports alongside Spa Director.
• Work alongside Spa Director and Workshop Management team in creating and developing new business ideas.

SCOPE OF ROLE

Coordinating all aspects of the Gym and Personal Training, driving fitness, operating criteria, staff relations and training.

The Gym Intern will play a key role in the Gym & Spa’s vision of success ensuring the highest standards of customer service and satisfaction throughout all aspects of the fitness operation.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

FITNESS ACTIVITIES
