Job summary

Mediobanca is seeking an intern for the Group Treasury – Collateral Management Desk. You will gain knowledge in maximizing the usage of financial collateral at group level and support collateral optimization, monitoring, and advisory activities.

Ideal candidates are graduating or pursuing a master in Economics or finance, with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel. English fluency and teamwork are essential for success at Mediobanca.

Qualifications

• Graduating students or master degree in Economics or scientific subjects (with specialization in finance).
• Attention to details, precision, analytical aptitude, willingness to learn and flexibility.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team, manage tight deadlines and priorities.
• Strong analytical and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of financial products, especially fixed income and derivatives.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel; VBA and Bloomberg are plus.

Responsibilities

• Active and independent management of the collateral inventory.
• Collateral transformation and optimization in cooperation with other units.
• Optimization of collateralized transactions margining.
• Collateral monitoring and reporting.
• Advisory in collateral-based transactions and support for new transactions.
• Support trading desks on spot requests and related analysis.
