EMBL Rome (Petroni lab) seeks a Research Manager to bridge the group with funding agencies and keep operations running smoothly. You will transform complex scientific ideas into highly competitive grant proposals, manage awarded projects, and support outreach.

Applicants should have a track record in EU/international funding, excellent written English, and a good grasp of Horizon Europe/ERC funding. Strong organisational skills and a collaborative, proactive approach are essential.

Mansioni

• Develop and maintain the funding strategy with the Group Leader; monitor funding calls.
• Lead end-to-end proposal development; structure narratives and draft/edit text.
• Coordinate submissions, budgets and deadlines; manage awarded grants and reporting.
• Support lab operations and group coordination; manage outreach and events.
