Job summary

Topcon Positioning Group in Modena area is seeking an Embedded Software Test Engineer to join the Concordia sulla Secchia facility. You will perform verification, validation and R&D testing on GNSS products, create reports, and support troubleshooting in a hybrid environment.

The role requires GNSS field experience and a strong foundation in geospatial concepts, with a competitive salary and opportunities for hands-on lab and outdoor validation work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geomatics, Geodesy, Environmental/Civil Engineering, Surveying, or Geosciences.
• Italian Geometra diploma with practical surveying experience acceptable.
• Solid understanding of core GNSS concepts, positioning methods and error sources.
• Experience with GNSS hardware in field and lab testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform verification, validation and R&D testing on GNSS products and related devices.
• Create test reports and ensure test coverage aligns with product requirements.
• Use automation tools, analyze results and support troubleshooting.
• Help reproduce and investigate issues reported by users and dealers.
• Work with lab equipment, firmware recovery, modules, SIM cards and device connections.
