GSK in Siena, Italy, is seeking an Associate Scientist in the Glycan Science lab within the Chemistry and Molecular Biology Function of the VIDRU Discovery Technology Unit. The role supports vaccine discovery through purification, synthesis, and analytics of glycoconjugates.

Requirements include MSc/BSc in biotech or chemistry with 6 months to 1 year in biotech, strong purification and biophysical analysis skills, and fluency in Italian and English.

Competenze

• MSc/BSc with 6–12 months of biotech experience.
• Experience in protein/polysaccharide purification technology.
• Fluency in Italian and English (spoken and written).

Mansioni

• Conception, design and interpretation of polysaccharide purification and glycoconjugate chemistry.
• Timely data collection, reporting and publication in area of responsibility.
• Maintain high ethical standards, data integrity and scientific practices.
• Communicate research issues affecting strategy and progress.
• Represent Lab at technical project teams/meetings.
