Job summary

GDM, part of Coesia, seeks a Project Manager to lead customer projects from order intake through on-site acceptance. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, procurement and installation teams, ensuring cost, schedule, quality and risk targets are met.

The role requires ~30% international travel. A Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field and ~5 years’ PM experience in industrial environments are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Management, or a related technical field.
• Approximately 5 years of experience in project management within industrial machinery, automation, manufacturing, or engineering environments.
• Proven experience in managing project costs, risks, schedules, and customer relationships.
• Good understanding of project management methodologies and tools.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Customer-oriented mindset with strong negotiation skills.
• Professional proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Availability to travel internationally up to approximately 30% of working time

Responsibilities

• Manage assigned projects from kick-off to final customer acceptance.
• Monitor and control project costs against budgets and commitments.
• Develop and maintain project schedules with milestones.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks with corrective actions.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Serve as primary point of contact for customers on project matters.
• Ensure compliance with contractual requirements and deliverables.
• Provide regular progress updates to stakeholders and customers.
• Manage scope changes and assess impact on costs, timing, and resources.
• Support installation, start-up, and commissioning activities at customer sites.
• Lead project review meetings and drive issue resolution.
• Ensure proper project closure with documentation and customer acceptance.
