ABB is seeking a senior product leader to build and execute the Augmented Operator product strategy for the Energy Division. You will define the roadmap, work with R&D to implement portfolio recommendations, and prioritize new developments to achieve targets.

You will influence teams without a direct reporting line and own go-to-market messaging and thought leadership. The role requires a Master’s in engineering and 15+ years in product management for energy plants, with strong knowledge of AI,

Competenze

Building and executing an overall Augmented Operator product strategy for Energy Division, considering the individual products composing the Augmented Operator Suite and the links with the surrounding products like OPTIMAX and Advanced Process Control.
Working with different parts of the ABB organization, spread in several countries worldwide.
Managing teams by influence as you will not have direct reporting chain.
Define the product roadmap and new features and functions that will help grow the overall business, working closely with R&D to implement these portfolio recommendations and as well as prioritizing the new product developments with responsibility to achieve the targets.
Know how on AI solutions and possibilities applied to the Energy industry.
Understand and anticipate external market needs and customer requirements and interface with internal functions like product development, operations, financials, marketing, sales, service, business development.
Own go-to-market messaging, including internal messaging documents, segment-specific offering content, sales/customer-driven demos, and thought leadership articles and presentations.
Work with marketing on external and internal websites keeping them up to date.
Identify and drive the development of new market together with the business development colleagues, support in identifying opportunities in the designated market and ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration.
Support identifying interesting M&A opportunities.
You will be accountable for the yearly business orders, margin and related financials targets of your product portfolio.

Requirements

Master’s degree in control or electrical engineering, or chemical, equivalent.
15+ years of experience in product management and in developing plant optimization solutions, with knowledge of software-related business models for energy industry segments.
Familiarity with industrial plants data, related treatment and simulation modelling will be beneficial
Strong understanding of modern way of developing products and on the last ICT technologies (Cloud, Edge, AI, as examples).
Good know how of processes with relevant experience in Energy Industries (Refineries, Chemicals, Petrochemicals, Power Generation).
Ability to translate service concepts and external requirements into clear value propositions and technical requirements.
Well-developed communication, influencing, coaching and leadership skills.

Demonstrates expertise in product management within the energy sector, focusing on developing plant optimization solutions and leveraging AI technologies. Proven ability to define product roadmaps, manage cross-functional teams, and drive business growth through strategic market insights and effective communication.
