Job summary

MillerKnoll in Foligno, Italy is seeking a Materials & Production Planner to manage a global supplier network within an automated supply chain. You will ensure competitive costs and meet customer requirements, reporting to the Head of Purchasing & Planning.

Responsibilities include planning production workloads, issuing POs per MRP, optimizing inventory, and collaborating with Logistics for timely deliveries. English proficiency and 1 year in planning are preferred.

Qualifications

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of Purchasing or Planning experience.
• CIPS qualification preferred.
• English language proficiency at a minimum B1 level.

Responsibilities

• Monitor demand and production capacity; coordinate with Production and Customer Care for delivery plans.
• Plan production workloads to reduce misalignments and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Issue purchase orders in line with MRP recommendations.
• Optimize inventory levels by reducing obsolete and slow-moving stock.
• Collaborate with Logistics and Warehouse teams for aligned delivery planning.
• Enter Intercompany sales orders and operate within supplier portals.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities and support SDM implementation.
• Monitor supplier performance and capacity.
• Plan supply requirements for large-scale projects.
• Support Make-or-Buy decisions.
