Job summary

ABB E-mobility is seeking a Global Finance & Business Controller to partner with leaders worldwide, delivering financial analysis and actionable insights to support decision-making and sustainable growth.

You will drive monthly closes, analyze performance, and support revenue recognition while working in a global, cross-functional environment. English fluency is required; Italian is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.
• Solid experience in financial controlling, business finance, FP&A, or financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, profitability analysis, and performance controlling.
• Understanding of Revenue Recognition principles and related accounting requirements.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA; SAC is a plus.
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a global, cross-functional environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent English; Italian is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to ensure accurate, transparent, and timely financial reporting.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities across global operations.
• Analyze financial performance including P&L, Balance Sheet, cash flow, revenues, costs, and profitability.
• Provide insights into business drivers, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Support revenue recognition activities and ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies.
• Monitor inventory performance, stock valuations, and provisions; drive operational efficiency.
• Investigate variances, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and analyses for senior stakeholders.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of reporting processes, tools, and governance.

As a Global Finance & Business Controller, you will partner with business leaders worldwide, providing financial analysis and actionable insights to support decision-making, optimize performance, and contribute to sustainable growth.

In This Role, You Will

• Partner with Finance and business stakeholders to ensure accurate, transparent, and timely financial reporting
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities across global operations

We are seeking a proactive and analytical finance professional who combines strong technical expertise with a business-oriented mindset. You bring:

• A degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field
• Solid experience in financial controlling, business finance, FP&A, or financial reporting
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, profitability analysis, and performance controlling
• Understanding of Revenue Recognition principles and related accounting requirements
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA
• Knowledge of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) for reporting and business analytics is considered a strong advantage
• Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
• The ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional environment
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Fluent English
• Italian language skills are considering a strong asset

Compensation Details

The employment framework is based on the National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL) for the Metalworking Industry, with an indicative level between B2/B3 and a minimum gross annual salary starting from € 37.000.

The specific level and compensation package will be defined based on the outcome of the selection process (including experience, skills set, and role fit), in accordance with objective, transparent, and gender-neutral criteria, in line with pay equity and equal opportunity principles.

The total compensation package also includes a variable bonus linked to individual and company targets.
