Job summary

Marel is seeking a Field Service Engineer Automation to install and maintain our machines at customer sites worldwide. You will travel for projects, take responsibility for electrical, software and PLC aspects, and ensure customer satisfaction through hands-on and proactive service.

You will lead installation efforts, train customers, report progress, and collaborate with colleagues to improve equipment performance and reliability. Fluency in English and EU travel eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or automation engineering, or a vocational level degree with relevant experience.
• Willingness to travel internationally (~50-60%).
• Experience with electrical cabinet rebuild, software installation/config, and PLC troubleshooting is a plus.
• Good command of English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute controls (electrical cabinets/software/PLC) parts of installation jobs.
• Conduct service visits at customer sites.
• Troubleshoot production issues at customers’ sites.
• Manage local employees in larger installation projects.
• Keep in touch with and report to the customer about progress.
• Train the customer and feedback results to colleagues.
