Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Demand and Supply Planner to lead global planning for the Tissue Business. You will collaborate across sales, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to balance capacity, cost, and delivery performance, turning data into actionable plans that improve efficiency and customer outcomes.

You will influence strategic decisions in a fast-moving, international environment, aligning with leadership principles and driving improvements in forecasting accuracy and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in S&OP within industrial machinery or project-based (ETO) environments.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with planning/analysis tools such as Workflow automation solutions and Power BI.
• Experience supporting sales phase planning including cost, capacity and scenario analyses.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain manufacturing demand forecasts using inputs from sales.
• Create and manage sales schedules during the sales phase, balancing demand with production, procurement, engineering, logistics and capacity.
• Assess manufacturability and review material requirements with manufacturing teams.
• Build production and capacity scenarios including cost and financial impact.
• Analyze risks, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize delivery plans and performance.
