Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome is seeking a GIAHS Agro-economic Specialist (consultant) to contribute to branding, labelling, marketing and commercialization of products from GIAHS sites. You will analyze data, develop guidelines and policy briefs, and engage with stakeholders to strengthen value chains.

Formación

• Advanced degree in Agricultural Economics or related field.
• Experience related to agricultural economics, development or agribusiness.
• Working knowledge of English.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct stakeholder consultations to collect data on branding, labelling, marketing and commercialization of GIAHS products.
• Review relevant technical documents and complete data collection from GIAHS sites.
• Analyze data and draft policy briefs on sustainability, value chains and market access.
• Develop frameworks and practical guidelines for branding and labeling of GIAHS products.
• Represent FAO at meetings and conferences as required.

Educación

Advanced university degree in Agricultural Economics or related field

Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of relevant experience
