Job summary

FAO, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, is seeking an Agribusiness Officer based in Rome to lead analytical work on value chains, investment operations, and public-private collaboration within the FAO Investment Centre (CFI). The role requires strong experience in agribusiness and policy dialogue and will support capacity development at country level.

You will work in a global environment with government partners, international financial institutions and private sector

Qualifications

• Master's degree or equivalent in agriculture or closely related field.
• Five years of relevant experience in value chain analysis, agribusiness and investment development.
• English proficiency with knowledge of another FAO official language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish).

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary teams to identify and prepare investment and finance solutions across food and agriculture value chains.
• Support implementation, monitoring and evaluation of investment and finance solutions.
• Assist in policy dialogue, capacity building, and knowledge sharing with government and private partners.
