STAM S.r.l. in Genoa is seeking a Funded Projects Finance & Administration Officer to join its Financial & Administration Area. The role focuses on financial management of EU- and nationally funded projects and involves coordination with partners, preparation of budgets, and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree, 3+ years’ experience in a similar role, and fluent English and Italian. Office skills and a detail-oriented, collaborative mindset are essential.

STAM is looking for a Funded Projects Finance & Administration Officer to join its Genoa office within STAM’s Financial & Administration Area.

MAIN ACTIVITIES

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated person, interested in the financial management of EU- and nationally funded projects, with involvement in:

• Proposal preparation and submission: Supporting the preparation and submission of project proposals under EU and national funding programmes, both as coordinator and as partner. This includes reviewing calls and eligibility criteria, coordinating administrative and financial inputs, preparing and consolidating project budgets, managing submission deadlines and maintaining proposal documentation;
• Partner coordination and eligibility checks: When acting as project coordinator, liaising with project partners to request, collect and review the administrative, legal, financial and organisational information and supporting documentation required to verify eligibility and ensure compliance with the relevant funding requirements;
• Financial reporting: Preparing, reviewing and ensuring the timely submission of project financial reports and supporting documentation to the European Commission (EC) and national funding agencies;
• Budget and financial monitoring: Monitoring the budgets and overall financial progress of EU- and nationally funded projects and service contracts, tracking expenditure, staff and subcontracting costs, verifying compliance with approved budgets and applicable eligibility rules, maintaining up-to-date financial records and identifying potential budget deviations to support financial planning and timely corrective actions;
• Stakeholder coordination and audit support: Liaising with funding agencies, project coordinators, partners and other stakeholders to monitor project progress and compliance with contractual obligations, while contributing to the preparation and coordination of internal and external audits and following up on requests for clarification or additional documentation;
• Grant and contract management: Supporting the preparation, review and management of grant and funding agreements and related amendments, as well as drafting, reviewing and finalising contracts with third parties, ensuring consistency with approved project proposals, budgets and applicable contractual and funding requirements;
• Client support in Project Administration: Supporting clients participating in EU- and nationally funded projects by assisting with the preparation and submission of required administrative and financial documentation, monitoring and reporting eligible costs, and ensuring compliance with applicable funding rules and reporting requirements.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s degree in Business Economics or Management Engineering;
• Three or more years of relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a collaborative research environment;
• Good knowledge of the Office Package;
• Professional written and spoken English and Italian;
• Critical thinking, problem-solving, independency and attention to the detail;
• A Good team player with good communication and empathetic skills;
• Genuine interest in project financial management and project administrative coordination;
• Belonging to legally protected status (Appartenente alle categorie protette, legge 68/99) - Preferable but not mandatory.
