AVL Italia S.p.A. is seeking a Functional Safety Engineer in Torino to develop, implement and verify safety concepts for safety-related projects. You will collaborate with systems, software and hardware teams to ensure compliance with safety standards and support R&D activities.

The role requires a technical university background, driver’s license, and several years of experience in safety project development from prototype to SOP, with strong knowledge of AVL safety processes and the V-Model.

Qualifications

• Completed education in a technical university or equivalent with a focus on mechatronic, physics, software, electronics, or related field.
• Driver's License
• Certified Safety Engineer
• HV Basis Training
• Several years of proven experience in development of safety-related projects from prototype to SoP.
• In-depth knowledge of electrical/electronic development
• In-depth knowledge of AVL safety development processes which includes execution of all technical safety activities in the V-Model
• Sound knowledge of software engineering basics
• Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering basics
• Excellent English language skills

Responsabilités

• Develop, implement, and verify safety concepts in safety-related projects.
• Perform risk assessments and safety analyses to ensure standards compliance.
• Collaborate with system, software and hardware teams to verify safety functionalities.
• Carry out item definitions, HARAs, safety concepts and safety analysis.
• Execute safety tests and R&D tasks; report deviations proactively.
• Provide technical support for offers and projects.
• Contribute to lessons learned and AVL safety processes.
