MUSC Health Florence Medical Center in Florence, SC seeks a full-time state certified Pharmacy Technician to join the inpatient team. Under pharmacist supervision, you will assist with the preparation and distribution of medications, including IV chemotherapy and documentation.

A High School diploma, certified technician training, and two years hospital experience preferred; state certification required. We offer health benefits and retirement via SC state program.

Job Description

Working under the direct supervision of the pharmacists, the pharmacy technician assists with all pharmacy operations related to the preparation and distribution of medications, including IV chemotherapy and non-chemotherapy IV doses, and the completion of medication-related documentation.

Education

• High School Diploma required; college-level courses desirable but not required; successful completion of a certified pharmacy technician training program required

Experience

• (Preferred) two or more years of experience in a hospital or health system.
• Sterile IV compounding experience preferred

Licensures/Certifications

• State Certified Pharmacy Technician
