Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Florence, Italy site to optimize manufacturing processes and drive continuous improvement across high-volume production. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new methods, reduce costs, and maintain quality.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma with proven manufacturing experience.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Fluent in English and Italian; strong problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with product design and development teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and SOPs.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment, technologies, and methods to enhance capabilities.
  • Train and support production staff in the implementation of new processes and technologies.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.

Partner with the best As a Manufacturing Engineer at Baker Hughes you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and improve manufacturing systems and processes.

To be successful in this role ideally you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Diploma with proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools is a plus.

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 43,600 To 70,000. The provisions of the Contratto Collettivo Energia e Petrolio will be applied to this position.
