Baker Hughes is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer for the Florence, Italy site to optimize high-tech turbomachinery manufacturing processes and ensure top quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement and improve systems, conduct time studies, and apply lean principles to reduce costs while maintaining safety and compliance.

The role requires a manufacturing engineering background, fluency in English and Italian, and hands-on experience with automation and CAD

Competenze

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Knowledge of lean and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with product design to ensure manufacturability of new products.

As a Manufacturing Engineer at Baker Hughes you will play a crucial role in optimizing our manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining the highest standards of quality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and improve manufacturing systems and processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with product design and development teams to ensure manufacturability of new products.
  • Conduct time studies and workflow analysis to identify areas for improvement.
  • Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, including work instructions and standard operating procedures.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing issues to minimize downtime and ensure product quality.
  • Evaluate and recommend new equipment, technologies, and methods to enhance manufacturing capabilities.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role ideally you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Diploma with proven experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in a high-volume production environment.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fluent in English and Italian.
  • Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing is a plus.
  • Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools is a plus.

For Italy: The initial pay range for this position will be EUR 43,600 To 70,000. The provisions of the Contratto Collettivo Energia e Petrolio will be applied to this position. Art. 32 and Art. 34 of that collective bargaining agreement relate to pay
