Job summary

RINA in Genova is seeking a Fleet Performance Compliance Engineer (Categoria Protette 68/99) to monitor and analyze fleet performance and ensure compliance with class and statutory requirements. The role collaborates with MCFPP Head and MCLTS Head to investigate Port State and Flag State inspections and drive corrective actions.

The position requires a Bachelor’s in Naval Engineering or related field, English proficiency, and knowledge of marine systems.

Qualifications

• Mandatory requirement: Registered as a protected category candidate under Italian Law 68/99 (collocamento mirato).
• Proficiency in English language written and spoken.
• Good knowledge of marine systems, ship operations, maritime regulations, class/statutory surveys.
• Analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and identify performance trends.
• Knowledge in data analysis tools and software such as Microsoft Office, Power BI, etc.
• Experience as Ship Surveyor.
• Experience as Deck/Engineer Officer (required for candidates with High School Diploma).

Responsibilities

• Analyze/investigate Port State and Flag State inspections/detentions to identify shortcomings and corrective actions.
• Support Port State/Flag State authorities to ensure swift resolution of detentions.
• Monitor fleet performance by collecting and analyzing data on machinery and systems.
• Gather data from sources and classification society databases.
• Prepare reports and presentations on fleet performance and compliance.
• Provide recommendations for maintenance and repairs to ensure safety and regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes.
• Communicate with shipowners and operators to address performance issues.
