Area Science Park seeks a permanent First Technologist to join the Research and Innovation Support sector. The role focuses on research, development, design, operation, management and testing of hydrogen production, storage and utilisation systems, with emphasis on experimental activities and plant operation.

• At least eight years of post‑master’s professional experience in the specified field.
• English proficiency; knowledge of main software tools and IT applications for research data analysis; Italian for non‑Italian applicants; willingness to travel.

Area Science Park is seeking to recruit one permanent First Technologist (Professional Level II under the National Collective Labour Agreement for Education and Research), in the technological sector of Research and Innovation Support.

The selected candidate will carry out activities involving research, development, design, operation, management and testing, with a particular focus on the experimental activities and operational management of plants and equipment for the characterisation and validation of systems and components for hydrogen production, storage and utilisation.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a Master’s degree – or an equivalent qualification as specified in the call – in one of the following degree classes: LM-17 Physics; LM-22 Chemical Engineering; LM-25 Automation Engineering; LM-28 Electrical Engineering; LM-29 Electronic Engineering; LM-30 Energy and Nuclear Engineering; LM-33 Mechanical Engineering; LM-44 Mathematical and Physical Modelling for Engineering; LM-53 Materials Engineering; LM-54 Chemical Sciences; LM-71 Industrial Chemistry and Chemical Technologies.

Candidates must also have at least eight years of specific post-master’s professional experience in the field specified in the profile description.

In addition, candidates must have:

• a good command of English
• knowledge of the main software tools and IT applications supporting research data analysis
• for non-Italian applicants, an adequate command of Italian
• availability to travel within Italy and abroad.
