A leading technology company in Piove di Sacco, Italy, is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to develop electrical design solutions for various products. The role involves working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team focused on high-performance, innovative designs while ensuring compliance with international electrical standards. The ideal candidate has a technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and at least three years of relevant experience, preferably in HVAC. Proficiency in Electrical CAD systems and English is essential, with a strong attention to detail and teamwork attitude.

Competenze

• Intermediate level of English, both written and spoken.
• Experience with EMC and low-voltage regulations.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic team in Piove di Sacco (PD), Italy!

The Electrical Design Engineer develops electrical design for standard and special units, following objectives of quality, environment, and cost, designing solutions in cooperation with manufacturing engineering, controls engineering, procurement, suppliers, and compliance with the requirements highlighted by Product Marketing. He/She also supports day‑by‑day requests from manufacturing and service.

What kind of work will you be doing?

• Work in a multi‑disciplinary engineering team on global products focusing on high‑performance, cost‑effective design and market‑leading innovation.
• Design product electrical features, taking direct responsibility for the dimensioning of the principal parts or assemblies.
• Create and review product documentation (drawings, specifications, bills of material).
• Create design solutions for special products, cooperating with the costing process.
• Cooperate with Controls Engineering in the creation of controls connection guides.
• Co‑design activity with external suppliers and colleagues located in different regions.
• Analyze and resolve technical issues about products of his/her competence.
• Meet objectives of cost, quality, environment, and time of execution, achieving the best trade‑off between market and internal customer needs.
• Analyze and resolve technical problems regarding products under his/her responsibility.
• Availability to travel when needed between the Italian HQ (base) and a production facility in Slovakia.
• Electrical CAD skills combined with a good attention to detail.
• Experience of EMC and low‑voltage regulations (e.g., CE).
• Competence in international electrical regulations and standards (e.g., UL, CSA, MD, and IEEE).

What will make you successful?

• Technical Diploma or bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
• At least 3 years of previous working experience in similar activities, ideally in the HVAC sector.
• Excellent knowledge of Electrical CAD systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Good knowledge of thermodynamics and refrigeration principles are desirable but not essential.
• English – Intermediate level – Written and spoken.
• Attitude to work in a multinational and dynamic environment.
• Know‑how of air conditioning/refrigeration products is a plus.
• Competences: result‑oriented, team player, careful to detail, flexible, well‑organized, and pro‑active.
