Taylor Hopkinson is partnering with an international renewable energy company to recruit a Financial Accountant in Milan, Italy, to support Italian accounting operations.

You will handle daily accounting, monthly/quarterly/annual reporting, VAT and withholding tax compliance, and liaise with external auditors and tax consultants while ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Competenze

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related discipline.
• Approximately 3–5 years of experience in accounting, tax, or corporate finance.
• Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics 365.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and meet multiple deadlines effectively.
• Capable of working independently and in a cross-functional environment.
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential financial information.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.

Mansioni

• Manage daily accounting transactions in accordance with Italian accounting standards and internal policies.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities.
• Monitor and assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely reconciliation and issue resolution.
• Prepare and coordinate indirect and direct tax compliance activities, including VAT returns, withholding tax obligations, and statutory filings.
• Liaise with external accountants, tax consultants, and auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Provide support during tax inspections and statutory audits by gathering and organising the required documentation.
• Assist with intercompany accounting activities and contribute to transfer pricing documentation where required.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure financial documentation is properly archived.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and support the implementation of regulatory updates.
• Identify opportunities to streamline accounting procedures and improve operational efficiency.
• Act as a reliable point of contact for finance-related queries from internal departments.
