Moneyfarm in Milan is offering a 6-month accounting internship based at our Milan office (Central Station area) with smart working options. You will work with the finance team on day-to-day financial operations, invoicing, and supplier relations, ensuring precise records and compliance.

You should have a high school diploma in accounting or a university degree in economics, knowledge of bookkeeping, and familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite).

Mansioni

• AP ownership: liaise with Italian and UK suppliers to resolve queries and maintain relationships.
• Record invoices in NetSuite with correct tax coding and GL accuracy.
• Manage PO lifecycle and reconcile invoices with orders across departments.
• Prepare supplier payments and upload files to banking portals securely.
• Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and credit card management.
• Support month-end close, fixed asset register, and audit documentation.

About the role

Working closely with our finance team, you will dive into the day to day financial operations of a fast-growing Fintech. This isn't just about data entry; you’ll be a key point of contact for our Italian and UK operations, ensuring our financial records are precise and our suppliers are happy.

Key Responsibilities:

• AP Ownership: Act as the primary bridge between the company and our Italian and UK suppliers to resolve queries and maintain strong relationships
• System Management: Master our ERP (Oracle NetSuite) by recording invoices with a sharp eye for correct tax coding and General Ledger (GL) accuracy
• Spend Control: Manage the Purchase Order (PO) lifecycle—reconciling invoices against orders and collaborating with departments across the firm to resolve any discrepancies
• Payment Operations: Prepare regular supplier payment runs and handle the secure upload of files to our banking portals for final approval
• Treasury & Expense Support: Assist with monthly bank reconciliations and credit card management for both UK and ITA entities
• Reporting & Compliance: Support the month-end close process, maintain the fixed asset register, and provide essential documentation during our annual audit

• High school diploma in accounting and/or University Degree in economics (Graduate or soon-to-be graduate)
• Accounting Foundations: Knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles and a genuine interest in how money moves through a business
• Communication Skills: The confidence to speak with stakeholders at all levels, from vendors to senior management
• Technical Aptitude: Previous exposure to ERP systems (especially NetSuite) is a major plus, but a quick learning curve is essential
• Reliability: You are organised, methodical and comfortable hitting deadlines with minimal hand-holding
• Fintech Mindset: You are excited by the pace of a scale-up environment and are fluent in English (written and spoken).
• C2 level or native Italian speaker, with a good knowledge of English

The position is a 6-month internship based in our Milan office (Central Station area), with smart working options and a monthly compensation of €800.
