Job summary

Hitachi Energy Ltd. in Italy seeks a Financial Analyst to support business performance analysis, prepare reports, and assist with forecasting. You will reconcile data, ensure internal controls, and contribute to monthly and quarterly financial statements.

You will collaborate with factory controllers, maintain ERP data in SAP S/4HANA, and help coordinate project reviews. Fluency in English and Italian and strong Excel skills are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.
• Up to 3–5 years of relevant experience in financial analysis or project support.
• Understanding of internal controls, audit requirements and project finance principles.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and drive improvements.
• Excellent reporting, data summarization, and communication abilities.
• Fluency in English and Italian.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP S/4HANA for modeling and analysis.
• Able to work independently and in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business performance vs budget and forecast; propose improvements.
• Collaborate with factory controller to understand financial drivers.
• Reconcile data and review exceptions to ensure report accuracy.
• Maintain audit trails and documentation for audits.
• Ensure accuracy of project balance sheets, income statements, and cash flows.
• Support monthly project reviews and performance reporting.
• Monitor internal controls and project compliance.
• Maintain ERP data for planned, actual, and forecasted revenues/costs.
• Identify risks early and assist with provisions.
• Support cash collection and reduce overdue accounts.
