Job summary

Abbott EP Electrophysiology division is seeking a Field Services Engineer to promote Abbott EP product lines, support procedures, and provide technical assistance to the sales force and physicians across Italy. The role requires attending electrophysiology procedures and solving technical questions promptly.

The incumbent will present training, support clinical studies, and collaborate with regional managers while travelling extensively within the country.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Biomedical or Electrical) or Electrophysiology.
• Good knowledge of English and Italian (written and spoken).
• Proficient with MS Office tools.
• Preferably 1–2 years in similar technical support roles.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork.
• Proactive with initiative and stress resistance.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Passion for EP, clinical studies, and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assistance across Italy to the sales force and physicians.
• Perform product presentations and training on product utilization for customers.
• Support physicians during enrolment and follow-up in clinical studies.
• Assist Regional Sales Managers and Clinical Department with tasks and projects.
• Adopt Abbott's solution-oriented approach with customers.
• Provide timely feedback on electrophysiology procedures and participate in booth duty as needed.
• Ensure compliance with Abbott Quality Procedures.

Job Description

1. Primary Objective of Position

The incumbent is responsible for the promotion of Abbott EP Product lines through professional and technical support to both medical and sales personnel. This position is additionally responsible for ensuring that all questions of a technical nature from the field or internal sources are answered in an expeditious manner and reported to the competent authorities within Abbott. This position's primary function is to attend electrophysiology procedures and support any issues related to transcatheter ablation equipment.

2. Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and assistance over the whole national territory to the sales force and physicians
• Perform product presentations and training on products utilization to customers
• Support physicians during the enrolment and follow up phase of clinical studies
• Provide support to Regional Sales Managers, FTE Coordinator and Clinical Department for any additional tasks and projects
• Be proactive in taking Abbott solution-oriented approach to customers
• Promptly communicate feedback/info on supported electrophysiology procedures - Perform booth duty when required
• Ensure all Abbott standing Quality Procedures are followed

3. Education & Competencies

• Degree in Engineering (Biomedical or Electrical) or Electrophysiology
• Good Knowledge of English and Italian, both written and verbal
