Merck Electronics seeks a Field Service Engineer for its Italian team in the Milano area. You will install, warranty and repair semiconductor production systems used in electronics manufacturing, traveling to customer sites as needed.

You will analyze technical information, follow ISO9001 standards, document work, and provide solutions for equipment configuration and operation. Fluency in Italian and English, plus a technical diploma or degree and a valid driving license, are required.

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer for its Italian team. The Field Service Engineer (FSE) will perform installation, warranty and standard repairs of systems that maintain supply of production material utilized in a semiconductor manufacturing environment that makes the chips used in electronic devices such as Smart Phones, LED's, and Flat Screen TV's. This is a challenging, hands‑on, rewarding job opportunity for people who want to join a growing business.

Field Service personnel travel to multiple customer locations or may be assigned to a specific site to provide equipment support. The scope of services may include maintaining the operation, repair of gas / chemical distribution equipment, gas / chemical blending equipment, critical monitoring systems and life safety systems. They will ensure compliance in operation and procedures, emergency preparedness, and drive flawless execution.

• Preform pre-task planning and equipment condition analysis prior to starting any work.
• Empowered to Stop the Job and elevate.
• Responsible for completion of customer requested tasks.
• Audit equipment and maintenance areas according to quality and safety standards
• Ensure processes and procedures are followed
• Report quality and safety issues immediately via the escalation process
• Takes ownership of NCE events and the RMA process to address equipment concerns in a timely manner.
• Complete all Field documentation accurately and submit for invoicing at the completion of the task.
• Provide solutions to the customer for equipment configuration, maintenance, and operation.

Who You Are

• Willingness to travel, at least 85% of the time. A valid Italian driving license and Passport is mandatory.
• High School Diploma or Degree in a technical field
• Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in both Italian and English.
• Awareness of ISO9000 / ISO9001
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes

Salary Package

• Annual Base Salary (RAL): €35.000 - €48.000
• Variable Compensation (SIP)
