Job summary

Kaigos in Bolzano seeks an Automation Engineer to bring welding robots into real production at customer sites, owning the deployment end to end—from understanding the customer's production problem, designing the solution, to commissioning the system on site and achieving field acceptance.

You'll sit between customer and robot, write and read Python and C++, work on Linux, and ensure safety, robust integration, and cycle-time optimization.

Qualifications

• You've deployed automation projects involving robots in production, not just demos.
• You're comfortable with industrial automation, safety, and commissioning on real hardware.
• Proficiency in Python and C++, and familiarity with Linux.

Responsibilities

• Understand the customer's process and define the solution.
• Design the system: cell layout, hardware, safety, sensors, controllers.
• Commission robots on site: program, integrate and tune the system, achieve field acceptance.
• Own the deployment: be the technical point of contact and grow toward leading deployments.
