Job summary

Inventronics is seeking a Field Quality Principal Engineer (m/f/d) for Treviso, Italy, to lead customer quality activities across Europe.

You will be responsible for managing complex customer complaints and warranty claims, coordinating cross-functional corrective actions with Quality, R&D, Manufacturing and Sales, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction while upholding company quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years in Customer/Field Quality or similar role.
• Experience with power electronics, LED drivers, lighting systems or related products.
• Experience managing customer complaints and warranty investigations.
• Fluency in English; German and other European languages advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate resolution of customer complaints across Europe.
• Manage warranty claim assessment and decision-making.
• Act as the primary technical contact for customer quality issues.
• Coordinate cross-functional corrective actions with R&D, Manufacturing and Sales.

Field Quality Principal Engineer (m/f/d)

Fulltime: Treviso, Italy

Area of responsibility

We are looking for an experienced Field Quality Principal Engineer to lead customer quality activities across the Europe Region. In this role, you will be responsible for managing complex customer complaints and warranty claims, coordinating cross-functional corrective actions, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

As a key interface between customers, Quality, R&D, Manufacturing, and Sales teams, you will play a critical role in resolving field quality issues, improving product reliability, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

In this role you will be part of an international team and you will be responsible for the following activities:

Customer Complaint & Warranty Management

• Lead and coordinate the resolution of customer complaints across the Europe Region;


• Manage warranty claim assessment and decision-making, ensuring consistency, fairness, and customer satisfaction;


• Act as the primary technical point of contact for customer quality issues;


• Ensure timely communication and follow-up with customers throughout the complaint resolution process;


• Coordinate failure analysis activities with internal laboratories, R&D, and manufacturing teams.

Customer Support & Field Activities

• Engage directly with customers to address technical challenges and provide practical solutions;


• Conduct customer on-site investigations when required;


• Support customers during critical quality incidents and product performance assessments;


• Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and technical expertise;

Cross-Functional Leadership

• Collaborate closely with R&D, Operations, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Sales teams;


• Facilitate lessons learned and drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle;


• Monitor customer quality KPIs and performance metrics.

Quality & Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve complaint management and warranty processes;


• Participate in risk assessments related to products, processes, and market quality performance;


• Support continuous improvement initiatives using structured problem-solving methodologies.

Cost & Risk Management

• Evaluate warranty-related costs and negotiate cost-effective solutions with customers and internal stakeholders;


• Support decision-making regarding replacements, credits, and field corrective actions;


• Balance customer satisfaction with business objectives and quality standards.

Job requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical discipline;


• Minimum 5 years of experience in Customer Quality, Field Quality, Quality Engineering, or a similar customer-facing technical role;


• Solid technical expertise in power electronics, LED drivers, lighting systems, or related electronic products;


• Experience managing customer complaints, warranty claims, and field failure investigations;


• Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies;


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills;


• Fluency in English and German; additional European languages are considered an advantage;


• Experience working within an international and multicultural environment.
