Job summary

Pharmanovia is seeking a scientifically driven Medical Science Liaison for Italy (Centre-South) to translate global Medical Affairs strategy into field execution, delivering non-promotional scientific engagement with oncology clinicians and other external stakeholders.

You will build trusted relationships, support evidence-generation activities, and aid in access readiness across pre-launch to post-launch assets, with strong collaboration across Medical Affairs and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of successful MSL or comparable field Medical Affairs experience in pharma/biotech.
• Direct oncology experience with field-based scientific engagement.
• Advanced scientific/clinical qualification in Medicine, Pharmacy/CTF, Biology, Biotechnology or equivalent life science degree; postgraduate specialization or PhD preferred.
• Fluent Italian and fluent English with excellent scientific communication and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of Italian oncology environment, regional health services and hospital access processes.

Responsibilities

• Build trusted scientific relationships with priority oncology stakeholders across Centre-South Italy.
• Deliver objective, non-promotional scientific exchange on disease areas, clinical evidence and treatment pathways.
• Develop and execute a focused territory plan aligned with global Medical Affairs strategy.
• Maintain deep expertise in oncology and oncology supportive care, including standards of care and biomarkers.
• Support pre-launch, launch and post-launch Medical Affairs activities for priority assets in Italy, including evidence-generation readiness.
• Support regulatory and access processes by interpreting clinical evidence and patient pathways within cross-functional duties.
• Engage with national and regional scientific groups (AIOM, MITO) to align Medical Affairs plans.
• Identify opportunities for real-world evidence and post-authorisation studies, including investigator-initiated research.
• Support congresses, advisory boards and scientific education with robust governance and compliance.
• Localise and deliver global scientific narratives and materials for Italian practice.
