Avnet Silica in Milano is seeking a Field Application Engineer to own your territory, solving technical challenges and helping customers choose the best solutions. You will use your technical expertise to support customers, identify needs, and drive design wins with AMD/Xilinx technologies.

You will present, train, and collaborate with sales, maintain awareness of product roadmaps, and provide feedback to improve offerings.

Competenze

• Extensive experience as a development engineer with programmable components (FPGA).
• Strong SW and processor knowledge (X86).
• Excellent interpersonal skills and English communication.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

Mansioni

• Provide technical support and design guidance to customers using AMD/Xilinx FPGAs, SWs, processors, SoCs, and related development tools.
• Collaborate closely with the sales team to drive design wins and support customers from concept to production.
• Deliver technical presentations, workshops, and hands-on training to customers and internal teams, showcasing AMD/Xilinx technologies and development tools.
• Act as a technical liaison between customers, Avnet Silica, and AMD/Xilinx, ensuring customer feedback is communicated effectively and solutions are optimized.
• Stay current with AMD/Xilinx product roadmaps, Vivado/Versal tools, and industry trends, applying this knowledge to guide customers toward innovative solutions.

Job Summary

As a Field Application Engineer you will manage your territory and region like it's your own. You will solve technical challenges, whilst aiding our customers in making the right decision for their projects. In this role, you'll leverage your technical expertise to support customers, identify their needs, and recommend innovative solutions that drive sales growth. It is paramount that you have strong technical knowledge coupled with a good level of commercial and business acumen.

You will be expected to drive design chain value proposition by generating the greatest number of design wins in technologies and registrations. You will perform a variety of product, technical and engineering functions including research and development.

What you will be doing:

What we are looking for:

• Extensive experience as a development engineer and working with programmable components (FPGA)
• Possess deep knowledge of SW and processors mainly X86 architecture
• Initiative attitude, high energy and motivation, and excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team collaboration environment
• Ability to speak good technical English
• Experience in developing embedded computer systems could be considered an advantage
• Familiarity and experience with work environments for implementing artificial intelligence-based systems could also be considered an advantage.
