ATG Europe seeks an experienced FDIR Engineer for our client, to be based at one of several Italian locations (Milan, Rome, Benevento, or Turin). You will define the satellite FDIR across the project lifecycle, collaborating with OBSW, Avionics, AOCS/GNC, and other disciplines.

The role requires a Master’s or PhD and at least five years in the industry, with deep knowledge of satellite systems, missions, operations and related domains. English fluency is essential.

Competenze

• Master’s, PhD or equivalent education in a relevant field.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience in the industry.
• Strong knowledge of satellite systems engineering, mission and operations.
• Experience in various satellite engineering domains (e.g. Operations, SW, AOCS/GNC).
• Excellent sense of responsibility.
• Structured hands-on work-approach.
• Highly self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Customer oriented thinking-approach.
• Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the EU.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Mansioni

• Carry out FDIR concept, design, consolidation and fine tuning;
• Contribute to system, satellite, avionic and SW architectures;
• Contribute to Software specification;
• Contribute to User Manuals;
• Identify and analyze spacecraft operational constraints;
• Contribute to verification process and campaign;
• Participate in project technical and progress meetings;
• Participate in system and equipment reviews;
• Provide support to in-orbit operations (LEOP, commissioning etc.).
