Microdata Due, part of Consilium Safety Group, designs and delivers advanced fire safety solutions for the marine industry. We are seeking a FAT Technician to ensure safety systems are installed, tested, and operational, mainly in the factory with occasional worldwide commissioning.

You will perform FAT/SAT, diagnose issues, document tests, and support technicians, with travel required for on-site assignments. Strong electronics, PLC/SCADA, and English skills are essential.

Competenze

• Experience in testing, commissioning, or field service within technical systems.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and flowcharts.
• Knowledge of communication protocols (RS485, TCP/IP).
• Experience with PLC/SCADA or control logic programming.
• Good command of technical English.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally for on-site assignments.

We are now looking for a FAT Technician to join our team. This is a hands-on, technical role where you will ensure our safety systems are correctly installed, tested, and fully operational, primarily in the factory, with occasional site-based commissioning activities worldwide.

What You’ll Do

Testing & Commissioning (Field Operations)

• Perform and document Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT)
• Verify system performance against technical specifications and regulatory standards
• Diagnose and resolve software, hardware, and communication issues during installation and start-up
• Provide technical support during testing and commissioning, working closely with installers and site teams

Technical Documentation

• Prepare test reports, commissioning records, and technical documentation
• Develop operating manuals and system documentation to support internal teams and customers

What You Bring

Core Technical Skills

• Experience in testing, commissioning, or field service within technical systems
• Solid understanding of electronics and industrial automation principles
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, schematics, and flowcharts
• Knowledge of communication protocols (e.g., RS485, TCP/IP)
• Experience with PLC/SCADA or control logic programming
• Proficiency in diagnostic tools and measurement instruments
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and planning tools
• Good command of technical English

Other Requirements

• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally for on-site assignments

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles
• Experience with functional safety standards (e.g., EN54)
• Hands-on experience with laboratory instruments (e.g., multimeter, oscilloscope)
• Familiarity with document management systems (e.g., PLM)
• Relevant certification such as Qualified Maintenance Technician
