Job summary

Marriott International’s Sheraton property seeks a Chief Engineer to lead the Engineering team, overseeing building operations, preventive maintenance, and energy conservation. You will manage budgets, coordinate contractors, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance across the facility.

You will drive service excellence, oversee asset protection, and coordinate with external partners to maintain guest rooms, public spaces, and technical systems. Fluent English is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 3 years of engineering/maintenance experience, HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.
• Or a 2-year degree in Building & Construction, Engineering, Mechanics, or related major with 1 year of engineering/maintenance experience and HVAC-R/electrical/plumbing training.

Responsibilities

• Manage physical plant including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems and energy use.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with safety standards and facility regulations.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, service contracts, and timely completion of work orders.
• Coordinate with external contractors and budgeting for capital projects.
• Lead emergency response for facility incidents and ensure asset protection.
