Human Technopole in Milan is offering a motivated internship in the Molecular Cell Biology Unit, LaJoie Group, to study nuclear envelope proteins during open mitosis. You will contribute to developing assays identifying protein-protein interactions during mitosis under expert supervision.
The role targets MSc graduates with wet-lab experience and interest in cell biology. 6 months, 800€ gross per month, based in Milan, with access to HT training and a collaborative environment.
Human Technopole (HT) is an interdisciplinary life science research institute, created and supported by the Italian Government, with the aim of developing innovative strategies to improve human health. HT is composed of six Centers: Molecular Cell Biology, Neurogenomics, Computational Biology, Structural Biology, Genomics, and Health Data Science. The Centers work together to enable interdisciplinary research and to create an open, collaborative environment that will help promote life science research both nationally and internationally.
The Molecular Cell Biology Research Center at HT aims to discover the molecular mechanisms which support human health and are disrupted in human disease.
In the LaJoie group within the Molecular Cell Biology Research Centre, studies how proteins of the nuclear envelope function to promote human health. By doing so, we can understand how their dysregulation results in diseases such as muscular dystrophy and cardiomyopathy. With the combination of specialized resources and expertise at Human Technopole, we are uniquely able to address these questions and the molecular and cellular level.
We are seeking a motivated intern to join our team and contribute to advancing research on how proteins of the nuclear envelope function during open mitosis. The intern will be involved in a project whose aim is to develop assays which identify previously uncharacterized protein-protein interactions during mitosis.
HT seeksscientific excellence, we recruit the best scientific talents through international, open calls.
Our working environment isinternational, friendlyandinclusive. Our scientistswork together across disciplineson research topics of biomedical relevance, leveraging synergiesbetween their diverse skillsets and methodological approaches.
