Politecnico di Milano seeks a researcher for a Fellowship project focused on developing a high-resolution spectrometer operating in the EUV range. The role involves characterizing a UV lamp emission spectrum and applying a diffraction grating with a CCD detector to measure key energy emissions.

The candidate will assess the 21.4 eV line versus the ~41 eV line, contribute to data interpretation, and support the advancement of the lab’s instrumentation program within the abovEF project.

Qualifications

• Fellowship eligibility based on academic qualifications and research experience.
• Experience with spectroscopy or related measurement techniques is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Characterize the emission spectrum of a UV lamp in the abovEF laboratory.
• Determine the ratio between emissions at 21.4 eV (neutral helium) and ~41 eV (singly ionized helium) using a reflection diffraction grating and a 2D CCD detector.
• Document methods and results; contribute to project reports and publications.
