SmartCo Consulting is seeking an experienced ERP Project Manager to lead the D365 F&O rollout in Italy. You will bridge global programme objectives with local market needs, coordinating with the SI and local stakeholders to ensure successful adoption and outcomes.

Fluency in Italian and English is required, with strong delivery leadership and stakeholder management. The role offers hybrid work 1–2 days in Milan and a B2B contract for six months with potential extension.

Role

As part of the SmartCo global delivery team, supporting a leading global D365 Finance & Operations transformation, the ERP Project Manager will lead the successful deployment of D365 F&O within Italy.

Working closely with the Systems Integrator, global programme leadership, and local business stakeholders, the Project Manager will drive delivery activities across the full implementation lifecycle, ensuring alignment to the global template whilst managing local business, regulatory, data, testing, training and change requirements. This role is ideal for an experienced ERP Project Manager who can bridge global programme objectives with local market needs, ensuring successful adoption and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the in-country delivery lead for the D365 F&O rollout.
• Partner with the Systems Integrator (SI), SmartCo programme team, and local stakeholders to drive successful delivery and adoption.
• Coordinate local project activities including mobilisation, business engagement, testing, training, data migration, cutover and go-live readiness.
• Manage project plans, risks, issues, dependencies and status reporting.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder discussions in both the local language and English.
• Ensure local requirements are understood and appropriately aligned to the global D365 template and programme governance.
• Support business readiness, user adoption and transition into hypercare and BAU support.

Experience Required

• Proven experience delivering ERP transformation programmes as a Project Manager.
• Experience with Microsoft D365 F&O or other enterprise ERP platforms (SAP4/HANA, Oracle fusion, Navision, Dynamics etc).
• Strong stakeholder management and delivery leadership skills.
• Experience working with Systems Integrators and global delivery teams.
• Fluency in the local country language and English.
• Experience delivering finance and operational system implementations is highly desirable.
