Job summary

Broadcom is seeking an experienced vKS Application Engineer to drive adoption of VMware Kubernetes Service on VMware Cloud Foundation. You will design and validate solutions, run proofs of concept, and guide customers through modernization journeys.

You will lead discovery sessions, collaborate with sales, and deliver technical presentations to both architects and executives, while staying current on industry trends and providing field feedback for roadmap direction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field; or equivalent experience.
• Deep knowledge of VMware products and Kubernetes platforms.
• Certifications in cloud-native or public cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, RHCA/RHCE on OpenShift) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted advisor for enterprise customers, guiding them through the design, validation, and deployment of vKS solutions on VCF.
• Lead technical discovery sessions, workshops, and proofs of concepts to validate vKS architectures and demonstrate business value.
• Collaborate with field account teams to align solution architecture with customer priorities and drive engagement outcomes.
• Partner with sales to develop customer proposals addressing modernization goals and workload placement.
• Provide prescriptive guidance on Kubernetes adoption, CI-CD integration, and DevOps enterprise requirements.
• Build and share reference architectures and deployment patterns to accelerate adoption.
• Deliver compelling technical presentations to architects and executives.
• Stay current on industry trends and feedback to influence roadmap direction.
• Travel up to 60% of the time.
