EDP Renewables is seeking a technical and commercial specialist to manage end-to-end BD opportunities for renewable energy projects, designing plant layouts and final offers. The role requires close collaboration with engineering, sales and finance teams to ensure technically and financially sound proposals.

The candidate will lead technical site inspections, optimize Capex, and support in tender processes, leveraging PVSyst, IECO, and MS Office to deliver high-quality outputs.

Competenze

Engineering degree or related technical field with relevant energy project experience.
Fluency in English; other languages a plus.
Experience with renewable energy project design and regulatory standards.

What you will do:

BD Custom:
End-to-end management of project opportunities, from the preliminary phase through to the issuance of technical and economic offers, specifically:
analysis of the preliminary documentation provided, regulatory constraints, and grid requirements;
preliminary analysis of customer needs;
preliminary plant layout design using IECO software and detailed design using Pvsyst;
preparation of the preliminary pricing file and its conversion into a final version through negotiation with suppliers;
use of company spreadsheets for drafting the economic/financial offer;
execution of technical site inspections independently or with support from external suppliers;
preparation of preliminary technical documentation;
optimization of the economic offer;
technical support to commercial negotiations.
Monitoring of opportunity progress and management of revision requests.
Interaction with internal teams (engineering, sales, finance) for technical-commercial alignment.
Assessment of the technical and economic feasibility of initiatives and identification of any critical issues (e.g., financial requirements, rating, guarantees).
Support in managing tenders and competitive processes.
BD Technical Support:
Technical analysis and review of project layouts (ground-mounted and rooftop systems), including optimizations based on technical or regulatory constraints.
Coordination of technical site inspections and collection/validation of related reports.
Interface with suppliers and technical partners for the collection and analysis of quotations.
Support in defining technical solutions (e.g., plant configurations, sizing, integration with self-consumption/CER models).
Validation of technical solutions for confirmation of contracted plants.
Interaction with internal teams (engineering, sales, finance) for technical-commercial alignment and document collection.
Management of Kick-off Meetings with the Field Team for handover and confirmation of sold projects.
Capex Optimization
Comparative analysis between pricelists and actual supplier quotations.
Support in unbundling analysis activities.
Onboarding and screening of new partners/installers.
Management of introductory and evaluation calls with potential collaborators.
Collection and validation of partners' technical documentation.
Cross-functional Activities
Development and improvement of Capex analysis tools.
Comparison between internal benchmarks and external quotations to optimize costs.

What are we looking for

University degree in Engineering or related technical field combined with significant professional experience in energy project design and engineering.
Good proficiency in Pvsyst software,
Good proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite,
Knowledge of financial models applied to renewable energy,
Knowledge of the technical regulations for photovoltaic systems: CEI standards, fire brigade (VVF) directives, grid connection procedures, installation constraints, etc.,
Ability to independently carry out technical site inspections,
Knowledge of products available on the market.
Extensive previous experience in ability to take accountability for delivering high-quality outputs aligned with strategic priorities.
Strong skills in process optimization and workflow efficiency improvement.
Experience integrating new technologies to drive operational growth and efficiency.
Excellent communication skills enabling effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated knowledge evolution mindset with ability to apply emerging practices and regulatory updates.
Familiarity with project coordination across renewable energy sectors including solar, wind, and storage systems.
Ability to work under broad objectives and independently resolve complex technical challenges using sound judgment and established precedents.
Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
